Some great shots and some great drool factor from the US press event over at onewheeldrive.net. We’re looking forward to seeing this one on the streets around here for sure.

Some great shots and some great drool factor from the US press event over at onewheeldrive.net. We’re looking forward to seeing this one on the streets around here for sure.

MotoCzysz (feel free to email us with how to pronounce this) is aimed at debuting it’s race motorbikes at Laguna Seca during the MotoGP weekend coming up July 21-23rd of 2006.
Press release:
MotoCzysz has chosen the 2006 Red Bull USGP, July 21-23, for the official unveiling of their next generation C1 factory race bikes. The new MotoCzysz C1 race bikes that will see competition in 2006, will be displayed at the MotoCzysz GP paddock inspired exhibit in the manufacturers’ area of Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway.

Word on the street is that a BMW bike has been seen being piloted in Spain with a FIM spec transponder unit attached to the back. Is BMW ready? Time will tell. We’ll all be expecting BMW to shell out some large coin for the 2007 season to get a greater rider for their team. There are apparently pictures lurking about and I’ll try and get those up as soon as possible.

MotoGP in New Zealand? I have to tell you, being Canadian, I’m a bit dissapointed that we don’t have a decent track in Canada - considering all the space we have, and the rather large population and denisty in some of the core cities. I mean, Australia has one and it’s not too far from NZ
The Taupo track will be getting updates for a MotoGP visit next year.
While the first few minutes are rather boring and it’s near impossible to make anything out, it’s pretty cool to see the Italian press event just the same. A follow up to this post.

Though he is likely one of the most talented F1 racers in history, he still had to sit second-fiddle in what was no doubt a PR stunt by both Ducati and perhaps MotoGP at the Italian MotoGP this weekend. He was taken around the track by 13 time 500cc MotoGP winner Randy Mamola. Shumacher is a seven-time World Champion. Together, that’s 20 World Championships - talk about a valuable haul around the track.
The reigning Miss Italy also happened around the track for the first time in her life saying “Randy was fantastic, he gave me total confidence before the ride, by the end of the ride I had no more strength in my arms …”
Maybe it’s just me taking that out of context but ..
A press release on Friday announced that Rossi will be sticking aside Yamaha for 2007. This guy is still the golden boy, and. This reminds me of the Oilers from the 80’s - where they just became unstopable - but the difference being that Rossi seems to be able to lead any company to victory, regardless of hardware and his team (though I’m certain his team works very hard).

Ducati surprised a lot of us this morning when they dropped this bomb shell on us:

This is the first MotoGP replica ever made. They’ll be making 400 a year with the first being available in the summer of 2007. I’d imagine if you want one, you’d best put your money down today.
