Some ideas on what’s been registered as patents seems to be the common way to deduce what manufactuers are coming out with. This is a mock-up of what may be what we get in Yamaha’s 2007 line-up. They even speak of the FJR1300’s ‘auto-clutch’ and possible perfect red matching when downshifting under breaking. Sounds exciting, and perhaps a bit safer for some, but too confidence inspiring for others. The FJR1300’s auto-clutch is on a bike that isn’t near the caliber, and the verdict is still out on just how great it is.

The styling ques, if followed, look to bring that of yester-years R1 within the lights. As concept drawings and renders go, this one looks like something Yamaha would actually put out - it will be interesting to compare it once officially announced.
