Fastdates.com is notorious for their fantastic paddock calendars produced annually. Nothing but the best in bikes and babes from these folks. They’ve just announced that in an agreement with SpeedTV, SpeedTV will be selling these via their motorbooks.com website as of July 1st, 2006. They are also being licensed to sell images from the calendar for cell phone use.
A review of the 2006 Yamaha FJR1300 sport-touring bike, the one that has Yamaha’s new Yamaha Chip Controlled Shifting (YCC-S) which basically equates to an autmatic clutch has been posted. It’s an interesting concept, one that’s been done before but not on a production bike of this level before. But if all the hot import hypercars are doing it, why can’t the easy going sport-touring bikes do it as well?
Neil over at onewheeldrive.net has reviewed the latest monster out of the Suzuki factory. The arcticle goes on to compare just how significant the improvements have been on the 600 and how close the two are in spec - and of course, in true Suzuki fashion they look nearly the same as well.

Ben Spies is just 21-years-old, but the Yoshimura Suzuki rider from Longview, Texas, comes to Road America’s Suzuki Superbike Doubleheader on June 1-4 in Elkhart Lake, Wis., on the verge of breaking one of the series’ long standing records. If Spies wins the first leg of the weekend’s doubleheader he will own the longest winning streak in AMA Superbike Championship history.
Spies swept the doubleheader at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., on May 20-21, pushing his win streak to six straight. That tied the 1995 record of six consecutive AMA Superbike wins set by Miguel Duhamel in 1995. Duhamel is one of the riders hoping to put an end to Spies current run at Road America.
“Ben is on a roll right now,” Duhamel said. “It was a shame that I couldn’t get up there and battle him to try to keep him from tying my record, but you have to give him a lot of credit for the way he’s riding. I’d like to give him a run for his money at Road America. I’ve done well there and it would be great to get a victory. It’s going to be tough.” (more…)

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati, and Swiss Knife manufacturer Victorinox (known for their Swiss Army knifes) have jointly developed the Ducati knife. The Ducati knife is like any Swiss Army knife, with multiple tools, but has as exception that it also contains tools to perform some emergency repairs on your precious Ducati motorcycle.
They are offering different models of the knife, depending on the model Ducati you have. The knifes come with 9 to 35 functions.
No prices known as of yet, and the Victorinox does not display this item yet.
